2020 05 07 Day 4
Those out-of-focus hills in the background are said to be 30 miles away. (Note 13 May: I located a topographic map...these are at most 8 miles away.) Focus this morning was on the blossoming trees. I haven't gone out to see what kind they are. Could be apples, could be cherries. Or could be something else. One big difference between Freeville and Hilo is that -- at least this time of year -- I have to scout around for footwear if I want to go outside. And outerwear, because the AM temps here can still be in the 20s and 30s. No easy stepping into my slippers while wearing shorts and a t shirt. I need some slip-on boots.
