Meet Bess, the newest Midline Road resident. She was a breeding dog at a legitimate AKC breeder, but, at 4, didn't want to breed anymore. We picked her up in far southern NJ yesterday. At first she wasn't at all sure about the large open spaces we have here, but she's beginning to take to them. Her job, apart from being a companion, will to be put the coyotes and foxes on notice to stay away. Let's hope that works and keeps 'Ōhi'a and Pippin safe from terrestrial predators.
